Elizabeth is an obstetrician-gynecologist, consultant, educator, and researcher specializing in the health, safety and well-being of women. Elizabeth received her medical degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and her bachelor of science in chemistry from Purdue University. She has been board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology since 1996 and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Elizabeth has been on the faculty of the University of Michigan Medical School since 1994 and for 12 years provided clinical care to women at the University of Michigan Health System. She is writing her first book and is co-founder and Matriarch of the Battered Women and Children’s Memorial Garden.

 

Kathleen Hanlon-Lundberg, MD

Kathleen is an obstetrician-gynecologist specializing in the care of women around the time of pregnancy.  She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1987 preceeded by her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  Kathleen completed her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, and a Fellowship in Maternal and Fetal Medicine at the University of Chicago.  She is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society of Maternal and Fetal Medicine.  After starting her career with The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Clinical Campus, Kathleen joined staff of The University of Michigan in 2000.  She founded Perinatal Assessment Centers at each institution, developing patient-centered care including perinatal and genetic consultation, obstetric ultrasound, and antenatal evaluation.  In addition to caring for women, both pregnant and not pregnant,  at WomanSafeHealth, Kathleen provides obstetric ultrasound services for the Corner Health Center of Ypsilanti, serving pregnant youth.

Stephanie is an acupuncturist who holds a master of science in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.  She has also been a practicing nurse for 19 years, and received her BSN from the University of Michigan.  She has hospital experience in critical care and cardiac nursing and now focuses on women’s health.

Cynthia provides psychotherapy services for WomanSafeHealth. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Michigan. She recently completed the University’s Sexual Health Certificate and specializes in trauma recovery. Certified as a Post-Partum Doula and La Leche League Leader, Cynthia is familiar with breastfeeding and post-partum adjustment needs and issues. Cynthia’s warm style makes clients of all ages feel comfortable to explore concerns and empower change in their personal life.

 

Eril Andes, CMT, APP

Massage and Polarity Therapy

Eril is a graduate of the Ann Arbor Institute of Massage Therapy and the Polarity Center. She has been practicing therapeutic massage for more than ten years and integrates Polarity work to create an exceptionally healing experience for her clients. Polarity Therapy uses energy techniques to balance the body and mind. Eril also specializes in recovery from trauma and pregnancy and infant massage.

Tracey attended Washtenaw Community College and received her registered nursing degree from Schoolcraft College. Tracey is a labor and delivery nurse and focuses on high-risk maternal health care, informed consent and healthcare ethics. She works as a travel nurse throughout the country and as a staff nurse at Henry Ford Hospital-West Bloomfield.

Victoria received her BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and her registered nursing degree from Washtenaw Community College. Her extensive travel and life abroad with her family has given her a unique cultural perspective on healthcare. She has been an active advocate for women, mothers and older adults since her young adult years, working with non-profit groups around the country.

LaTisha Mitchell, WomanSafeHealth's Practice WoManager, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is a Notary Public for the State of Michigan. LaTisha brings 10 years experience in healthcare administration and caregiving with her and especially enjoys taking care of women with disabilities. She is excited to apply the WomanSafeHealth Guiding Principles to our business practices to benefit clients and staff.

 

Lahdan Refahiyat, BS

Medical and Administrative Assistant

Lahdan

Lahdan is a medical assistant and prospective medical student with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the University of Michigan. She has hospital experience in oncology, post-anesthesia care, and cardiovascular surgery. Lahdan is also a volunteer at Food Gatherers Community Kitchen and an advocate for women. Her interest in medicine includes childcare and reconstructive surgery. Lahdan is excited to be part of the unique WomanSafeHealth team.
